The ITS European Congress is one of the largest industry events, bringing together leading mobility and intelligent transport systems thought leaders and companies. At such a high-profile ITS event, Latvia was represented by its largest delegation to date, including our member companies – LMT Innovations, Mobilly, Fits Traffic, and Lucidus – as well as invited partners – Latvijas Pasts (Latvian Post), Riga City Council, and the Road Transport Administration.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to meet with other European ITS organizations in person, strengthening existing collaborations and fostering new ones. This time, we used the platform to present the Baltic Mobility collaboration initiative to a broader audience – an initiative aimed at addressing shared mobility and sustainability challenges across the Baltic region. Face-to-face meetings also helped to promote our involvement in key topics and projects such as NAPCORE, eFTI, CCAM, and Urban Logistics.

As stated by Jānis Zlamets, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Andorra, during the opening of the event:"The Spanish market holds special significance for Latvian entrepreneurs, as it can serve as a strategic gateway for developing cooperation with Latin American countries."

"Participating in the ITS European Congress gave us the opportunity not only to represent Latvia at the Nordic+ stand but also to explore the Spanish market and build new contacts. We saw how crucial well-thought-out mobility and innovative technology solutions will be in the future and were happy to share Mobilly’s experience and existing solutions. Looking at similar mobility products at the exhibition also inspired new ideas on how to improve our own services for an even better user experience."  - Anete Freimane, Marketing Project Manager at Mobilly.

For the Fits Traffic team, this congress was a great opportunity not only to present our solutions but also to actively participate in the activities of the Nordic+ cooperation platform, which highlighted the contribution of the Nordic and Baltic countries to the development of smart mobility. A particular highlight was the Nordic+ Nights event, which in an informal atmosphere helped strengthen collaboration with partners from various countries and discuss opportunities for joint projects in the future."  - Edgars Starķis, Product Manager at Fits Traffic.

ITS Latvia continues to actively promote Nordic and European cooperation, building a bridge between Baltic solutions and global markets.

“Aktivitāte īstenota projekta Nr. 5.1.1.2.i.0/3/24/A/CFLA/010  “Klastera atbalsts IKT nozares internacionalizācijai un attīstības veicināšanai” ietvaros.
